The
banking industry is facing an acute shortage of trained employees at all
levels. CAIIB can be called one of the tools used by the banking industry to
train its employees and provide them the required knowledge necessary for
better decision making covering risk, financial and bank management. Only
candidates who have cleared JAIIB or the part 1 of Associate examination are
eligible to appear for CAIIB examination.
CAIIB Exam has two
main stages or blocks.
1)
Compulsory paper:
This has two main subjects a) Advanced Bank Management b) Bank Financial
Management.
2)
Elective papers:
Under this section candidate needs to select one subject out of the choices
given: a) Corporate Banking b) Human resource management
c) Rural banking d) Information technology e)
International Banking f) Risk management g) retail banking h) Central banking
i) Co-operative banking
j) Treasury management j) financial advising.
Each question paper consists of 100 objective
type questions with multiple choices. These questions carry 100 marks which
includes case study/case lets. There is no negative marking for wrong answers,
so candidates can answer all the questions without fear. CAIIB exam is
conducted twice a year and the schedule of the examination is published 3
months prior to the examination.
