ISEET Exam | Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test 2013



ISEET (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test)
A common engineering entrance examination was first proposed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in February 2010 as a common medium for common admission into professional institutions in the country. The test proposed to replace Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) and the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, was Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET). This exam plans to cover admissions to centrally-funded institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) and other deemed universities. The exam has been introduced on 20 May 2012, and is held in many languages.
ISEET Exam
The exam is held in the month of March or April. The duration of Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET), Main and Advance is of three hours each. Both the tests are held on the same day.

Colleges under ISEET
The colleges that consider Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET) are:
15 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs),
30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
5 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs),
5 Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs)
And few deemed universities which come under the purview of the HRD Ministry.

Advance exam will have the syllabus from School Boards. Its difficulty level is kept equal to AIEEE. 30% weightage will be given to the Advance exam while taking admissions. It tests the problem solving abilities of the candidate. It includes:

BITSAT 2013 Syllabus



The BITSAT 2013 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. A sample test demonstrating the features of BITSAT will be made available to the registered candidates at the BITS website on which he/she can practice as many times as desired.


BITSAT 2013 Application Form



The application forms for BITSAT are out in the month of January, for which submissions had to be made till February 15, 2013. The test centre allotment was announced on February 25, 2013. The applicants can reserve a suitable date of test from March 1 – 20, 2013. The admit cards can be downloaded from April 15 – 30, 2013 and the test will finally be held from May 14 – June 1, 2013 on the date chosen by the candidate.

JEE Mains Admit Card 2013



The admit cards for JEE (Main) 2013 will be available on its official website www.jeemain.nic.in from March 5, 2013. The applicants are advised to download the admit card and verify their particulars, photo, signature, etc. In case of any discrepancy, they can mark a mail to jeemain@nic.in. IIT-JEE Latest News about AIEEE and NIT's Entrance 2013



From 2013, IIT-JEE will be aligned with AIEEE, which is an engineering entrance examination for NITs. IIT-JEE is held in two phases, phase-1 is called as JEE Main and phase-2 as JEE Advanced. A suitable time gap between the mains and the advanced tests is provided so that students have the results of mains test in hand before they appear for the advanced exam. A new eligibility criterion is introduced for IIT JEE entrance exam 2013, according to which class XII marks will be taken into consideration with JEE scores to calculate the final result.

Indian Engineering Services 2012



Indian Engineering Services (IES) 2012 are the civil services that meet the technical and managerial roles of the Government of India. Like most countries, the Government of India recruits its civil servants and officials on the basis of merit, the middle management positions in the bureaucracy are filled through competitive exams. Candidates from all over India take these exams and compete for limited seats. IES officers are selected by the union government on the basis of preferences made by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). For recruitment to Indian Engineering Services, UPSC conducts a combined four-stage competitive examination called the Engineering Services Examination (ESE). IES remains the most sought after careers for the engineering graduates in India.

The recruitment is done for three categories: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. Indian Engineering Services Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Engineering Services Exam should have an engineering degree from a recognised institute, final year students are also eligible. Also candidates with MSc Degree or equivalent in Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering will be eligible for certain posts only.
A candidate should be more than 21 years and less than 30 years of age. There are relaxations up to 5 years in age limit for various reserved categories. A candidate should be medically and physically fit according to the specified requirements.

Engineering Entrance Examinations Preparation





Engineering entrance examinations follow various test patterns which are decided by the authorities conducting the examination. IIT- JEE has recently announced a major change in its examination pattern. IIT-JEE will conduct two entrance examinations, JEE (Main) followed by JEE (Advanced). Only the first 1, 50,000 candidates who clear JEE-Main will be eligible for JEE (Advanced). AIEEE follows a different examination pattern.
