XAT or the Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted on 6th January 2013(Sunday) and is conducted by XLRI as always. For more than 60 years XLRI has been conducting this test at all Indian level to select the best students suitable for management studies. There are more than 100 institutes which participate in XAT 2013. XAT is usually conducted on the first Sunday of January and is considered the toughest among all the management entrance tests.
A good XAT score will help you get admission into Xavier business schools and many other top MBA colleges in India. XAT scores are accepted by the best business schools like Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Indian institute of Finance, New Delhi and S P Jain institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

XAT application forms are available at www.xatonline.net.in . Candidates can visit this website and click “XAT Registration” to complete the procedure. The fee for XAT 2013 general applicant is 950/- (Rupees nine hundred and fifty only). Candidates can select online payment, cash payment or demand draft to pay the application and examination fees. After filling in the required details candidates have to upload photograph and signature, download the XAT confirmation page, send the confirmation page to XAT office and then download the Admit card for examination.
XAT 2013 Syllabus
XAT syllabus or pattern changes every year. XAT follows a different pattern and usually we find five options for every question. Questions include ‘Management Decision Making’ and case studies. XAT 2013 duration is of 3 hours and the examination is divided into 2 parts. The following are the sectors included in XAT 2013.
Part A: This consists of Quantitative ability, English Language ability, Logical Reasoning and Decision Making. This section is allotted 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Part B: This section comprises of essay writing and General Awareness. This section is allotted 40 minutes.

XAT Results 2012 are announced and are made available at http://www.xatonline.net.in. XAT score card is mailed to the candidates and intimated personally.
Eligibility Criteria for XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2013 Entrance
The eligibility criterion for XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) 2013 is mentioned below:
1) Candidates must be graduates in any discipline and from a recognized institute.
2) The minimum aggregate in graduation is 50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
3) Candidates who are appearing for final year exams or awaiting results can also apply for XAT.
Tips for XAT Entrance Exam Preparation
XAT is an MBA entrance test which primarily tests candidates on three main areas

The questions asked in the examination would test you in these three skills but in various forms.
1) Follow a good study strategy: It is necessary to plan a good strategy for preparation and spend quality time for preparation.
2) Divide Questions into different categories: It is essential that candidates divide the questions into varies categories and practice them individually.
3) Always be prepared for any changes in the paper pattern. XAT has always been very challenging and is considered as the toughest management test paper. So hard work and practice is necessary to clear XAT with a good score.
