What is Combined Medical services (CMS) examination?

Combined Medical services (CMS) examination is conducted by the UPSC or the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment as Medical Officers in various organizations coming under the Government of India. UPSC Medical examination will be held at various centers across the country. Notification of CMS examination is usually published in the month of September and the examination is conducted in January. CMS examination is an objective type written test of two hours duration.
